Aster DEX Delays Token Airdrop Amid Allocation Discrepancies
Aster DEX has postponed its ASTER token airdrop to October 20 after identifying inconsistencies in user allocations. The delay follows community reports of discrepancies, with some participants receiving fewer tokens than their snapshot holdings warranted.
The platform is conducting a full review of distribution calculations and will update allocations where necessary. Affected users can opt for a USDT refund, available 48 hours after corrected allocations are published. Nearly 154,000 wallets qualified for the second stage of Aster Genesis, with no lock-up period for claimed tokens.
Influencer Quinten 048.eth publicly criticized the distribution, claiming he received only 338 ASTER tokens despite generating over $100 million in referral volume. The incident highlights growing scrutiny over fairness in decentralized finance incentive programs.
